Family Resemblance

Today at church we talked about family resemblances.  How there are some families where you definitely know that they are related by the way they look or act.  In my family me and my younger sister have always been told that we look-alike.

I think a lot of it had to do with the red hair and our similar smiles.  We get that smile from our Mom.

I love that with this smile I also have my mom’s true enjoyment in life and love of laughter.  Though I have been told that I look exactly like my dad too.

sometimes more than others, and I have been told multiple times that I act like my dad which most of the time I take as the highest compliment.  My older sister and I would and still do randomly dress alike and I can say that we look related.

And her photobombing dog had to get in this picture, we don’t look like him.

Then my niece joined the family and I have to say that there are times that she looks just like her aunts.

Though obviously blessed with more hair.  I love that you can see personality traits from both my sister and brother in law in this little girl already.  And the fact that she is a little model of your behavior.  The other day she put on my necklace and then had to grab my sunglasses to put on her head too just to complete the look the way her Aunt Ronda does.  I wish I got a picture because she was adorable. 

I loved thinking about how I am similar to my family both in looks and in personality and it made me think that I would love to look even more so like Jesus as He is the one that my life should be modeled after.  Though I don’t think I would look good with a beard His personality traits are the ones that I should strive for more.  Who do you resemble?
